Accommodating Language Variation in Deep Processing

Abstract
We present an approach to handle variation in deep linguistic processing.
It allows a grammar to be parameterized as to what language variants
it accepts, but also to detect the variant of the input. We also report on the
evaluation of this approach by making it detect the dialect of input sentences
extracted from corpora of two different dialects.
